Welcome to the Perry Removals Essex website. This website has been designed to help you through the process of moving home with information not only on the removal itself but on other pre and post removal day issues.
The name Essex originates in Anglo Saxon times meaning 'East Sax' (the Eastern Kingdom of Saxons).
The motto "Essex works for a better quality of life" is projected across nearly 1500 square miles of the county.
The County Town is Chelmsford, whilst the oldest recorded town of Colchester lies to the extreme north east of Essex.
Essex has a population of just under 1.4 million spread over an area of 1,350 square miles. At 482 feet above sea level, Langley near Saffron Walden is the hightest point which falls away to the Thames Estury and the English Channel. The county was formed in 1889 but revamped in 1915 when some fringe areas were passed to Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Hertforshire.
Famous landmarks include Stansted Airport and Queen Elizabeth Bridge. There are many picturesesque villages in Essex including Thaxted and Finchingfield. Many of these villages have some large country houses, something which Perry's are experts at moving.
