Welcome to Perry Removals Welwyn Garden City website. This website has been designed to help you through the process of moving home with information not only on the removal itself but on other pre and post removal day issues.
In 1920, Welwyn Garden City was the second, after Letchworth, to be designated a "Garden City". and is unique in that it was further defined in 1948 as a New Town.
The community benifited from lessons learnt by it's founder, Sir Ebenezer Howard. Howard's original concept was to create open spaces within a community and yet going further by wishing the people as a whole took an interest in creating wellbeing and wealth for the greater good. This had been applied successfully in nearby Letchworth over the preceding 20 years.
The first house was occupied in December 1920 and today Welwyn has a population of around 44,000 people. Famous Welwyn folk past and present include golfer Nick Faldo, singer Alesha Dixon, author Frederick Forsythe, the Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, and other actors Una Stubbs, Dinah Shreidan and Dame Flora Robson.
Perry Removals have completed hundreds of moves in the area including private homes to Europe and Worldwide, plus commercial moves throughout the UK.
